Deck the halls: a holiday mood board

Instead of cramming holiday ideas in my Instagram saves or private Pinterest boards for no apparent reason, I've compiled some favourites below for your perusal. It's a big ol' mix of minimalist and maximalist Scandi, cottage, contemporary and classic – an assortment of holiday decor, tablescapes, gift wrapping and holiday treats to help get you in the festive spirit.

Trendless and sustainable feel important to me, especially at Christmas. I won't get into a seasonal overconsumption rant – but thrifted, timeless, and thoughtful are 'good things' as Martha would say. Leaning into reusable or dressed-up brown paper packaging. Baking, crafting or drying fruit for ornaments and garlands. Shopping local holiday markets and thrifting decor and gifts. These are all part of the holiday season I really enjoy. Along with listening to The Royal Tenenbaums soundtrack on loop while decorating (there's only one Christmas song, but it's a long-standing tradition since my university days).

Enjoy the season, however you celebrate!
